In A Holidaze
By: Christina Lauren
One thing I can say about the author is that her books are never formulaic in structure like some Rom-Com or Chick lit books can be. The premise in this story is similar to the movie Groundhog Day in that a young woman experiences the same day over and over again until she figures out how to get things right. Maelyn and her family are spending their holiday in a cabin in Utah with two other families who are long-time friends. This cabin had been her favourite place for a long time and partially because she gets to see Andrew, who she has had a crush on since forever. What ensues are hilarious moments and romantic interludes sprinkled with a touch of old fashioned Christmas fun that will delight readers. This is a light, feel good, easy read. I have read several of her other books and enjoyed them. I wasn't a huge fan of the whole "Groundhog Day" plot of this book, but it was entertaining none the less.
I give it a 3 stars out of 5.

Thanks for the review. Sounds interesting but not my kind of book. Good review.
