Broken ( in the best possible way)
By: Jenny Lawson
This book takes an irreverent and hilarious look at what it means to be a human struggling with depression and mental health issues. Jenny Lawson is a blogger who has written several books including Furiously Happy and Let's Pretend This Never Happened. In her newest book, Broken (in the best possible way) She shares stories that are at times poignant, referring to her life and dealing with her mental health issues, to funny, laugh-out-loud, very relatable, and often embarrassing anecdotes. There is a lot of very bawdy and graphic humour so for some this may not be appealing.
Overall, I appreciated her stories about the awkwardness of human interaction and gained some insight into the struggles many people face when dealing with depression and mental health issues.
I read this book in bed at night and I often had to control my laughter as my husband was sound asleep beside me.
