At the Quinceanera for her niece, violence erupts and Lydia is forced to quickly make some heartbreaking choices. What follows is a story that is timely. It will both captivate and horrify you. You will witness the sacrifices many immigrant parents make to give their children a better life and the value of hope.
This book is on Oprah's Book Club for a good reason. it is well written, with a timely storyline. It is destined to be one of the best of 2020!
